The results
Ongoing SEO, at a fraction of the effort.
40+ hours
Audit, research, and plan
Site audit, competitor research, keyword research, and a plan, by hand. Now it runs largely in the background.

~4x traffic
In 3 months
One law firm's site nearly quadrupled its traffic.
The same approach works for local businesses too: a local end-of-life doula practice ranks first for every keyword it targets and gets calls for consults almost every day. This is newer work, so these are early results.
The problem
Keeping a law firm website optimized was a part-time job.
An SEO audit, competitor research, keyword research, and a plan took at least 40 hours. The technical on-page fixes took another 2 to 10 hours each round, and that was before touching the content.
Updating content took 2 to 4 hours per page, and every new blog banner took about an hour. Keeping track of it all was another job on top.
What I built
How the SEO automation works.
This is AI SEO automation with a person in charge. Claude does the pulling, sorting, and editing; a person decides what ships.
- Data, pulled on a schedule. Scheduled Claude tasks pull and analyze data from Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
- A ranked list of fixes. A prioritized report of improvements and fixes is delivered for human review.
- One-click technical SEO. With the click of a button, Claude Code connects to the site and makes technical SEO changes, such as stronger internal linking, optimized meta descriptions, and better schema markup.
- Content updates and banners. Claude drafts content updates for a person to finish, and makes blog banners with Canva that upload with keyword titles and schema.
- A running log. Airtable keeps a log of every issue and fix, plus the content updates that need a person's judgment.
The stack
Custom SEO automation, not another subscription.
Search Console and Analytics
Where the data comes from: what ranks, what gets clicks, and what's slipping.
Claude Code
Reads the site, makes the technical fixes, and drafts content updates.
Airtable
The log of every issue, fix, and decision, so nothing gets lost.
Canva
Blog banners from the brand's own templates, in seconds.
How it stays trustworthy
Nothing changes without a person saying yes.
- Review first. Fixes arrive as a ranked report. A person approves them before Claude Code touches the site.
- Judgment calls stay human. Content changes that need a person's judgment are flagged in Airtable, not made automatically.
- Everything is logged. Every issue and fix is recorded, so you can see what changed and when.
- Built in your accounts. Search Console, Analytics, and the site stay yours.
Good questions
Frequently asked questions.
Can SEO be automated?
Much of SEO can be automated: pulling Search Console and Analytics data, finding technical problems, fixing meta descriptions, internal links, and schema, making blog banners, and keeping a log of every change. Strategy and content that needs judgment still need a person. In this law firm case study, SEO automation turned a 40+ hour audit and planning process into one that runs largely in the background.
What is SEO automation?
SEO automation is software doing the repetitive parts of search engine optimization: collecting ranking and traffic data, finding problems, making technical fixes, and tracking what changed. In this build, scheduled Claude tasks do that work and a person approves every change before it goes live.
How does SEO automation with Claude work?
Scheduled Claude tasks pull data from Google Search Console and Google Analytics and turn it into a ranked list of fixes for a person to review. With one click, Claude Code connects to the website and makes the approved technical SEO changes, such as internal links, meta descriptions, and schema markup, while Airtable logs every issue and fix.
Is custom SEO automation better than an SEO automation tool?
It depends on the business. SEO automation tools and platforms are subscriptions built for everyone. Custom SEO automation is built on accounts the business already has, like Search Console and Analytics, and can make the fixes on the website itself, with a person approving each one.
Does SEO automation work for local SEO?
Yes. The same SEO automation approach is behind a local end-of-life doula practice that ranks first for every keyword it targets and gets calls for consults almost every day.
Is automated SEO safe for a law firm website?
In this build, nothing changes on the law firm's website until a person approves it. Fixes arrive as a ranked report, content changes that need judgment are flagged instead of made automatically, and every change is logged in Airtable.
How much does SEO automation cost?
The price of custom SEO automation depends on the website and how much of the work is automated. Timebender starts with a $450, 90-minute consult that includes a written plan and a fixed-price quote.
